May the Fourth Be With You

Yeah, yeah, so it's Star Wars Day or something like that. Cool.

Obligatory Star Wars meme:

Moving on. LOL at all the "May the Fourth" junk, but I'm all about the force being with me right now. I'm embarking on a new life struggle and have no idea what I'm doing. So the force is much needed right now.

I just started the grad school search. After spending all four years of college thinking that was never going to be a thing... Surprise! It is. So here I am, completely unprepared and trying to figure out where to start.

I know I want to get a masters in Sport Management/Administration, but from there it all gets blurry and confusing.

Where do I apply? Why would I want to go there? What do I need to do to apply? When do I take the GRE? Or do I need to take the GMAT instead? I need how many letters of recommendation? What address do I send all this to? Wait, what is the deadline, again? Should I get an MBA too?

All of the struggles.

I'm hoping to gain some clarity here in the next couple of weeks, considering that I've got to take my tests in the next few months, I should probably get on that.

Have any of you ventured out into the grad school land and have any advice for keeping it all straight and making decisions? Any and all thoughts/opinions are appreciated!

For now I'm just taking the advice of my boy Yoda.

xoxo, jgp

  1. I'm just about to graduate four years of university & I definitely could not carry on and do a masters! I'm very impressed - GOOD LUCK! Sports management/administration sounds really interesting and although I have not applied for any future studying I would say the best thing to consider about where to go should be based on a place that you really like & is in a good location for you. Really good luck & it would be nice to hear more about how the whole process goes :)
