Golden Globes!

What I learned from tonight's Golden Globe Awards:

Jennifer Lawrence is still my favorite.
As usual, she was awkwardly hilarious when she won for Best Supporting Actress in American Hustle. She didn't trip this time. Winning. (I have to admit though, unlike the rest of the world apparently, I was not loving her gown tonight.)

Tina Fey and Amy Peohler never get old.
These two seem like the best best friends on the planet. I want to hang out with them and try to be as funny as them one day. Then hate myself for not being as funny as I thought I was. Oh, and then Amy won and made out with Bono or something. Life.

Apparently musical people don't know what brushes are.
This guy. Didn't even catch his name. (Looked it up- Alex Ebert.) But it was just so strange and horrific that I didn't even know what to think.

Diddy is still just Diddy.
First, apparently Diddy and the strange looking fellow above know each other. Then Diddy tried to hug Bono and that didn't go down too well. Chances Puff Daddy had a little too much Ciroc tonight? 100%.

Emma Thompson is the greatest woman ever.
I greatly appreciate you standing up there, drink in hand, heels in hand, and finally loosening this thing up a little bit. It was a little stuffy in there.

Navy and black tuxedos actually work.
Pretty much everyone that matters had one on tonight (other than Fallon), and I was surprised at how much I was digging the look. Certainly doesn't work for everybody though. Let's remember that.

Must see American Hustle.
But I already knew that. Best Motion Picture- Comedy? Does it get any better?! Ugh. Why have I not already seen this? This and Wolf of Wall Street and 12 Years a Slave and Gravity need to happen immediately.
And, yes, more JLaw... We're besties.

There was not enough Ben Affleck in tonight's show.
So my only option was to throw back to last year. Gah. He's so sexy. And so talented. And so perfect. I just want him in my life forever.

My best dressed?
Kate Beckinsale. I want a reason to throw on a dress that shiny and amazing, please.

My final realization:
I really need to stop wasting time and money on stupid movies and see these amazing works instead. I'll be smarter that way. And feel fancier. So I'm going to work on that.

The Oscar nominees are announced Thursday. Then I shall plot how I'm going to manage to see all of the movies before March 2. Who's with me?!

What was your favorite part of tonight's show?

xoxo, jgp
