24-Day Challenge: Day 15 Update

These past five days have been interesting. To say the least.

I fell off the wagon a little bit with my eating because, God forbid, I wanted to enjoy my weekend with my friends a little bit.

Earlier in the week I also had to have a cup of coffee. I was fading fast and had hours of work left...

Friday night I have spaghetti with processed sauce and meatballs, and some cookies, and some wine. Saturday I had Mexican for dinner and fully indulged in a margarita... Worth it. Every bit of it. Then last night I was craving pizza, so I went to YourPie and went with a semi-healthy, low-cal pizza.

But still. None of that is in my normal diet for this plan. So today and tomorrow I'll be getting back on it and completely following my diet plans.

I don't regret actually enjoying my weekend, at all. I just knew that with my lack of workouts this week, I wasn't going to see the results I wanted. Which is exactly what happened. Zero pounds lost since last week.

Oh well.

What I miss most: Cheese dip. Good lord I miss it. At Mexican the other night I got guacamole instead, but I couldn't resist a couple dips of my friends' cheese dip. That will be the first thing I get when this whole thing is over with. I'm also missing real breakfasts. It's my favorite meal of the day and it's been replaced by meal replacement shakes. Annoyed.

What I've learned: I've learned that I have a serious problem with people who are overly healthy. I'm working a post about this for tomorrow. People that act as if their world will crash and burn if they touch something that didn't grow out of the ground... make me want to die. And it's something I've seemed to encounter during this time. Ugh. Rant over.

Hardest part: Finding the motivation to pack my meals. Now that I've started my internship, I'm either going to have to eat the food they serve us at the clubhouse or bring my lunch every day. And pack the millions of pills I have to take with lunch. When I have a long day on campus, it's even worse for planning. What do you do when you are on campus from 10AM until 6PM? Breakfast, snack, lunch, snack? That's a lot of food to carry around all day.

Easiest part: Working out. I am still so grateful that I'm one of those people who is naturally motivated to go to the gym. I couldn't imagine starting this diet and plan and not already being an avid gym-goer. It's definitely made things a little bit easier.

Inches lost: 9.75 in

Weight lost: 3 lbs

Fingers crossed I can hop back on the wagon and lose a few more pounds before this thing is over with. I am happy with the inches I'm losing though. I really can tell a difference there. So that's probably why I'm not so worried the scale isn't necessarily coming along just yet.

Less than 10 days left! Wahoo!

xoxo, jgp
