Currently Reading: Summer House & The Reagan Diaries

I'm currently juggling two books. I'm bettering myself. Or something like that. I'm reading both for pleasure, but one is quite obviously making me much more astute than the other.

If you haven't noticed already, based on all of my other Good Read posts, I'm all about beach books. I've got about 50 of them on my bookshelf(s) and I can read them year round. I love me some ocean and sand and beach life. So I read and pretend I'm there.

So far, Summer House hasn't really done much for me. I'm about 100 pages in and I'm starting to get into it a little more, but it's not your standard "beach book." I'm hoping it picks up and I get into it a little more. I also tend to have a hard time getting into books from the start. So I'll report back on this one.

This. Is. Awesome.
If you didn't know this existed, I'm sorry for you. Reagan journaled every single day when he was President of this great nation. And he was candid and open and awesome. I'm not even 6 months into his 8 years in office and I'm already obsessed. The love he had for Nancy and this wonderful country we live in is so clear. And it's such an interesting view point of the most important job in the world. I suggest you pick it up. Immediately. If anything, it will give you so much respect for a man who was in charge of the United States of America and still took time out of his day-- everyday-- to write down what he was feeling and what was going on. So that one day we could all know what it's like to run the world.

Have you read The Reagan Diaries and love it this much?

xoxo, jgp
