My very first post on here was about this year's resolutions. My last update was in early February. And that was an epic fail. Like, good Lord.
So as we're getting into the month of June, I'm looking back on the past 5 months and seeing where I went wrong/ what I did right.
As we already know, epic fail. And the organization has only just recently resurfaced. It's been pretty tragic.
This is definitely the one resolution I've stuck with completely. I've been busting my butt the past few months in the gym. There's a blog all about that coming soon...
So this one was a little bit more of a struggle. I did make a valiant effort during March to reach out to my friends more often and reconnect. But I also found that in March I seemed to really start bonding with my broadcast friends. So I would say this was a success. I've gained some new friends, and reconnected with some old ones-- I can't complain.
I'll be honest here, this one got swept under the rug. Real bad. I am not much of a studier. Hence the journalism degree. And by this point in the semester, I only had one final to study for (read: dropped class), so it wasn't really a top priority.
This was another one of those gray area goals. I wouldn't say I've "found" my style... But it's definitely improved since the beginning of 2013. In the summer in particular, I tend to change things up a bit from what I would normally wear. One thing is for certain about May... I did some serious shopping. So that counts right?
Well, talk about epic fail. I was supposed to have an internship-- I don't. And I'm not really working this summer. Sooooo blogging is my work I guess. The internship struggle is definitely something I'll be blogging about... Probably later this week.
So, I would say that so far this year, I've done a decent job of succeeding in my goals. Apart from the whole "not-having-an-internship" thing, it's been a solid year and I'm pumped for the rest of the summer and the fall. I'm pretty sure this is going to be my favorite year of college yet!
On that note, I leave you with some inspiration to get your resolutions back on track.
